Attorney Brian G. Cheslack, a partner in the law firm of Chapin, Ballerano & Cheslack, has been recognized by the Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce as a recipient of its Ken Ellingsworth Community Service Award.

Cheslack, a partner in the law firm of Chapin, Ballerano & Cheslack, has been recognized by the Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce as a recipient of its Ken Ellingsworth Community Service Award. Mr. Cheslack was honored at the Delray Beach Marriott on September 17, 2011 at the Chamber’s Luminary Gala which recognizes outstanding business and community leaders.
Community Service Awards are presented to Chamber members for their commitment and generosity of time and talent to the community and for supporting the needs of its citizens. Mr. Cheslack was recognized for his dedication to cultural, civic, educational and youth programs throughout Delray Beach.
Mr. Cheslack served as chairman of the board of the Greater Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce in 2010, and continues to serve on the board. Cheslack is past president of Old School Square in Delray Beach. He is also chairman of the board of the Downtown Marketing Cooperative and is a board member of DELPAC (Delray Economic Leaders Political Action Committee). Cheslack is a member of the board of directors of the Delray Beach Public Library, the Bethesda Memorial Hospital Foundation, and the Delray Beach Athletic Club. He coaches youth soccer and lacrosse through the Delray Beach Athletic Club.
In his professional role, Cheslack concentrates his areas of the practice of law with Chapin, Ballerano & Cheslack in tax law and in the preservation and transfer of wealth, complementing the firm’s focus on estate planning, real estate, corporate law, and estate, trust and guardianship litigation. After joining the firm in 2002, Cheslack became a named partner in 2003.
Mr. Cheslack has also recently announced his retirement as a Captain of the United States Navy Reserve, after 30 years of active and reserve service.
Brian Cheslack is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, the University of Utah College of Engineering and the University of Miami School of Law, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. He is a member of the Real Property, Probate Law and Tax Law sections of the Florida Bar and of the American Bar Association. He is a native of New York and has lived in Florida since 1997. He is a resident of Delray Beach. His wife, Virginia (Randy) Kurtz, is also an attorney practicing with Chapin, Ballerano & Cheslack and is also a Captain in the United States Navy Reserve.
