ScottMadden will lead a session on effective rate case management at the upcoming AGA/EEI Advanced Public Utility Accounting Course. Rick Starkweather, a partner and the leader of ScottMadden’s regulatory practice, will lead “Rate Case Preparation and Management”.

Rick Starkweather, a partner and the leader of ScottMadden’s regulatory practice, will lead “Rate Case Preparation and Management” on Thursday, September 22. The session will profile the typical rate case process, discuss how the regulatory landscape is changing, and analyze how this is impacting rate cases. It will also provide examples of how some utilities are responding.

“The purpose of this session is to help course participants better understand how their positions in accounting will be impacted by rate case filings—and more importantly, how they can help their companies better manage those filings.” Starkweather said of the session.
