Asia’s largest cardiac meeting to be housed by Ruby Hall Clinic

This is the first ever independent intervention meet of the Cardio Vascular Society of India- the CAD Asia Intervention Summit (CAIS). It is being organised jointly by Ruby Hall, Pune from September 23 to September 25, 2011 as a part of ‘25th anniversary celebrations of Cath Lab’ at Ruby Hall.
The CAD Asia intervention summit is a highly focused meet that brings together, under one roof, leading cardiologists from India and across the globe. The special highlight of this meet will be “How should I Treat” session in collaboration with Euro PCR, Paris. During “How should I Treat” session in the conference based on live cases; live transmission from Ruby Hall Clinic as well as from France & USA will be displayed to Hotel Westin.
Though the CAD India Conference is not new to Interventional Cardiologists in India, the year 2011 highlights the commitment of CAD to interventional Cardiology with the first ever independent meet that gives special focus to this area of specialisation.
The CAD Asia Intervention Summit is a multi pronged academic meet of Interventional Cardiologists from all over India, as well a galaxy of the best intervention experts from Europe, UK, South East Asia and the USA.

At the Press conference, Dr Purvez Grant said, “Ruby Hall has completed 25 years in cardiology on September 15, 2011. The Cath Lab was set up on Sept 16, 1986. To celebrate this great occasion, we are inviting delegates from all over the world to share their experiences. Ruby has also completed more than 1,00,000 (one lakh) angiographies & over 40,000 angioplasties till date. At the meet, we will have in-detail discussions on latest practices and technologies- developed by them as well as us. Also live demonstrations of cases will be screened from our Cath Lab.”
At the Press Conference, Dr Shirish Hiremath said, “At this meet, three organisations are coming together- Ruby Hall Clinic, Cardio Vascular Society of India (CVS) and EuroPCR. This, perhaps, is the biggest meeting in the country in the field of interventional cardiology. Experts not just from the world, but also from metros and small towns of the country will come together for exchange of ideas. The meet will also discuss in detail the mixture of interventional procedures required for the entire body.”
The meet will facilitate discussions and debates in a highly interactive environment encompassing the latest advances and techniques in intervention cardiology.
Over 40 world-renowned foreign doctors which include Dr Jean Fajadet & Dr Marie Claude Maurice from France, Dr Marco Roffi & Dr Bernhard Meier from Switzerland, Dr Samin Sharma & Dr Cezar S Staniloae from USA, Dr David Cumberland from Malaysia, Dr Joseph deGiovanni from UK will participate in the meet.
