Christian Band Twice As Deep will be donating all proceeds from their new single "Fine, Fine Day" to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and will be the opening act for the fundraising event "Faith for the Cure" for the organization Saturday, October 8th, 2011 at Castles & Coasters in Phoenix, AZ
Online PR News – 21-September-2011 – – Phoenix, AZ - Local up-and-coming Christian band Twice As Deep - who has been called the "hot young band in the Phoenix Valley" by AIR1 Radio staff and has received several accolades from non-profits around the Valley of the Sun - will be the opening act for "Faith for the Cure" on Saturday, October 8th, 2011 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Twice As Deep (TAD) is no stranger to non-profit service and jumps at opportunities to give back to the community. TAD has ministered in music for nearly 300 church services, a children's home, and a foster family event with over 1800 in attendance. The group has been to the Phoenix Dream Center / Church on the Street several times; a place where men and women are brought off of the streets and prisons to learn how to lead productive lives.
"When Faith Christian Center called and asked if TAD would be willing to play for free for a fundraiser, it was as natural as breathing to say yes," says band leader Jeremiah Womack. "I had no idea what ‘Faith for the Cure’ was going to be or anything, but it is turning out to be something much bigger than any of us!"
The event has been put together by church organizers and businesses in the Phoenix-community like Air1 Radio, KLOVE Radio, Blue Media, and many more to create a fundraiser different than the norm. The amusement park "Castles & Coasters" will be the site to raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation; music, rides, games, and giveaways will be throughout the day and are included with admission. Prizes will include Faith for the Cure swag, gifts cards, and a grand prize of an iPad 2 will be given away to one lucky winner.
Local pastors Sean & Erica R. Moore of Faith Christian Center will be hosting the community event and are expecting a large turnout. TAD will be kicking off the musical performances at 1:00 p.m. to be followed by local R&B artist Big Wo, the Faith Christian Center Worship Team, and featured artist BJ Putnam will be closing out the event. Tickets are only $20.00 for the whole day and include rides and a round of mini-golf. A portion of the proceeds will go to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
In the spirit of going above and beyond, Twice As Deep will also be giving away free downloads of their latest single “Fine, Fine Day” along with “Fullness In You” on their website. Those who wish to purchase the tracks instead of just the free downloads, will also be donating to the NBCF as any sales between now and the end of October will be donated to the organization. “God has given us music to share with the world; it’s not ours to keep,” says Jeremiah when questioned about giving the music and the profits. “We have been blessed and simply want to be a blessing back to others.”
Twice As Deep is not the average Christian band and minister what they have coined “hybrid worship;” playing many styles of Hard-Rock, Hip-Hop, Alt-rock, R&B, Pop-Punk, and Funk. Though the styles of TAD may change song-by-song, the focus does not; they seek to glorify God and give hope to a lost world one piece of music at a time.
