The online STI testing clinic, STIClinic.co.uk, has now been rebranded as LabsDirect.com. As part of this rebranding, LabsDirect has announced the planned launch of around 30 new lab tests, including those for DNA, Thyroid, Arthritis and Allergies, within the next few weeks.
Online PR News – 23-September-2011 – – STIClinic.co.uk has announced that it has been rebranded as LabsDirect.com (http://www.labsdirect.com/uk/) as part of its commitment to continue providing a comprehensive testing and information service. In addition to their aim of reducing the spread of STIs in the UK by providing their patients with convenient and confidential ways to get tested, they are now looking to broaden their clinical testing services.
For the last year STIClinic has offered patients the opportunity to get tested for an STI with complete discretion and convenience, with a service that allows patients to order a test online, so that they can collect a sample at home. Once a specimen is collected, it can be sent back via free-post to a CPA (Clinical Pathology Accredited) testing laboratory that functions within the strict regulatory framework outlined by the government, with results being received in a matter of days.
According to a LabsDirect representative, the rebranding of STIClinic is about more than just a name change: “LabsDirect is entering a whole new frontier, where we are looking to provide not only tests for STIs, but also for other types of medical conditions for which samples can be collected at home. We are planning to add finger prick tests, DNA testing and allergy tests to our services, but we won’t stop there. We want to become a comprehensive medical testing site, which also provides reliable help and information.”
Since its beginnings in 2010 as an online sexual health clinic, LabsDirect has helped thousands of people by providing home tests and information. Examples of current tests offered by LabsDirect include the Full STI Screen Test, Chlamydia Test, BV Test, Genital Herpes Test, Gonorrhoea Test and a number of swab PCR tests.
