The two Grand Prix of the 10th edition of the AutoVision Film and Multimedia Festival were presented on September 15th, 2011 in front of more than 160 professionals from advertising-, PR and multimedia agencies, the automotive industry and media, as well as producers and TV-stations worldwide. The Awards Ceremony took place at the 64th International Motorshow (IAA) in Frankfurt/Main within the celebrations of 125 years of automobile.

Online PR News – 17-September-2011 – – Frankfurt, September 16th, 2011 – For the first time in 20 years, not one but two Grand Prix were awarded at the Award Ceremony of the jubilee edition of AutoVision held at the Congress Center at the 64th International Motorshow (IAA) in Frankfurt/Main within the celebrations of 125 years of automobile. All winners to this special edition are available on

Out of 279 entries, 71 films and multimedia productions were presented with the prestigious OttoCar trophies in Gold, Silver and Black. Among the international winners there are Volvo, Seat, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Daimler, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Michelin, Renault , Allianz, Palm + Havas (Canada), Publicis Conseil (France) Leagas Delaney (Czech Republic) Bandito Brothers (USA), Wieden+Kennedy/London, Leagas Delaney (Prague and Hamburg), Jung von Matt, JWT, Elephant Seven, argonauten G2 (Germany) just to name a few.

The spotlight of this year’s jubilee edition was focused on the two Grand Prix winners: the creative and innovative product presentation “Package Tracking“ of Daimler together with their agency Jung von Matt/Spree and their producer Markenfilm Crossing was presented with the Grand Prix for the classical linear audio-visual communication. Oliver Hack (CEO, Markenfilm Crossing) on winning the classical Grand Prix: “I have seen Nils producing all this and that really was overwhelming! It was quite a lot of hard work!“

The very first Interactive/Online/Multimedia Grand Prix went to “BMW Magazin iPad App“ alongside their agency Hoffmann und Campe and their producer ringzwei. The iPad Application won the jury over with its complex and detailed structure. If two years ago the trend was to have everything within a portal, this year a greater variety of different media, channels and feeds in the communication, with Micro-Sites, Youtube channels, Apps, etc. was noticed by the AutoVision Jury. Marco Krönfeld (Project Manager at BMW Magazin Hoffmann und Campe Corporate Publishing) on winning the Interactive/Online/Multimedia Grand Prix : “I am really surprised to be standing on stage once again. Even though I’ve been presented with numerous trophies tonight, standing here once again is absolutely fantastic! I am still surprised but am so happy!“

Even if the aftermath of the crises is still felt, especially because the corporate films are not produced from one day to another, the optimism is back in the audiovisual communication for the automotive industry. As observed by the AutoVision Jury members the trend will shift from complexity to simpler structures as consumers are not inclined to deal with circumstantial information anymore. Also the careful use of animation has been very much refined over the past years and thus is being used on a very high level to enhance real pictures.

"We are happy that for the past 20 years we can present our Award to such great and professional entries. Many changes have occurred in this time and AutoVision tried to be on the pulse of time by reacting towards the latest trends and adapting categories and prizes. We’ve noticed the growing importance and vast potential of online media and therefore we introduced this year an additional Grand Prix, especially for the Interactive/Online/Multimedia productions.“ so Festival Director Alexander Kammel on the past, present and future of AutoVision Festival.
