Online PR News – 08-January-2010 – – The wonderfully festive holiday season recently enjoyed by residents and home shoppers alike at the Irvine Village of Woodbury has set the stage for the eagerly awaited debut of The 2010 New Home Collection.

Slated to premier on Saturday, January 30th, The 2010 New Home Collection will showcase 25 floorplans from six different homebuilders, situated throughout eight distinctive neighborhoods in the villages of Woodbury and Woodbury East, both of which are part of the acclaimed Villages of Irvine®.

Prices for the new homes within The 2010 New Home Collection are expected to start in the low $300,000s. To learn more about the 2010 New Home Collection, please visit www.VillagesofIrvine.com.

“The holidays are truly special in each of the Villages of Irvine, with lots of resident interaction and family fun taking place right in Woodbury,” said Tom Veal, vice president of Residential Marketing and Product Planning for Irvine Company Community Development. “And now, excitement is building for the unveiling of The 2010 New Home Collection – representing another chapter in the incredible history of this award-winning village.”

Throughout December, Woodbury residents were offered all sorts of special holiday events and festivities including Santa’s annual arrival at Woodbury via a hand-built wooden sleigh, joined by his friends The Grinch, Frosty the Snowman, The Gingerbread Man, elves and of course Rudolph. The elves even lent a helping hand and set up a free Gift Wrap Factory, where they wrapped presents for residents. The holidays at Woodbury also included crafts for kids, giveaways, a famous balloon artist and the Sparks of Love Toy drive for the Orange County Fire Department.

“Santa’s annual visit is just one of many great examples of the family-oriented activities and traditional holiday festivities that occur year round at Woodbury,” said Veal. “Plus, across the various neighborhoods of Woodbury, residents were busy attending holiday parties, participating in cookie exchanges, hosting special events at The Commons, and planning shopping trips to Woodbury Town Center with their neighbors, making it a very special time of year. And now, the momentum of the season continues to the opening of The 2010 New Home Collection!”

Veal added that many homeshoppers interested in the new homes within The 2010 New Home Collection will be able to take advantage of the Federal tax credit of up to $8,000 that was recently extended by Congress.

“What a great time to be in the market for a new home,” said Veal. “The range of new homes preparing to debut within The New Home Collection, combined with attractive mortgage interest rates and the Federal tax credits, make your American Dream of homeownership within reach – and just in time to prepare for another incredible year of events, activities and festivities at Woodbury.”

Woodbury is part of the acclaimed Irvine Unified School District. Woodbury is also home to The Commons, the 30-acre focal point of village life at Woodbury, encompassing Woodbury Elementary School, Woodbury Community Park and The Club.

Woodbury Community Park is a public park maintained by the City of Irvine. Facilities include a soccer field, two baseball diamonds, two lighted full-sized basketball courts, a tot lot, picnic tables, play areas, and a community center building.

The Club, an expansive resort-inspired destination for Woodbury residents and their guests, has several pools, a variety of sports courts, sunny courtyards and other social seating areas, and an outdoor fireplace. Residents can take advantage of two multi-purpose buildings – one with a full catering kitchen – to host their own private parties as well as community events.

In addition, Woodbury residents enjoy the benefits of close-to-home shopping, dining and other services available at Woodbury Town Center and the nearby Orchard Hills Village Center® as well as the exciting shopping, dining and entertainment options at the Irvine Spectrum Center® and The Market Place.
