The American Galvanizers Association and the AISC team up to sponsor SteelDay 2011 educational event at Portland State University
Online PR News – 15-September-2011 – – FabTrol Systems, a global supplier of integrated steel fabrication management software, joins with the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), the American Galvanizers Association and other steel supply chain companies to provide a day of hands-on learning opportunities for SteelDay 2011.
The event includes presentations, shop visits and other educational activities designed to educate the industry and the public at-large about the building and environmental benefits of structural steel building construction. FabTrol Systems, which is sponsoring lunch at the Portland State University Business Accelerator Campus, will present on the role of fabrication management software in the steel industry value chain.
Other event partners, including Lampros Steel, Fought & Company, Albina Pipe Bending, Pacific States Galvanizing and Galvanizers Company will sponsor facility tours where SteelDay participants will get a firsthand look at fabrication, galvanizing and production activities, including innovative applications and state-of-the-art technologies, such as corrosion control with hot-dip galvanizing and complex bent steel processes. Eight of FabTrol Systems’ software engineers will attend the event and tours to augment their understanding of steel fabricators needs and steel fabrication processes and materials.
Architects, engineers, contractors, fabricators, students, developers, and others interested in the steel construction industry are encouraged to attend.
