The Food Culture Europe festival is due to take place in Paris from the 10th to the 16th of October 2011. This event follows a successful similar event in Strasbourg earlier in the year.
Online PR News – 15-September-2011 – – The aim of the event is to showcase the best that French food and culture has to offer. Stalls will be established at various points in the city and visitors will be able to sample cheeses, meats, wines, and other French specialities, as well as learning more about the preparation of French cuisine.
Pop-up restaurants are a big feature of this festival and details of where they will be situated can be found on the official website of the event. The event is free to attend although bookings may be required in advance at some restaurants.
Lek Boonlert, Head of marketing for DirectRooms.com offered this advice for visitors to Paris, “Paris is known as the city of love, it is filled with plenty of culture and fabulous architecture and as such remains one of the most visited cities in the world. During times of festivals such as this, the city entices even more people to visit and therefore hotels and other accommodation can become booked up very quickly. Planning in advance and securing hotel accommodation prior to arrival is one way to avoid disappointment later.”
Strasbourg city centre hotels are a popular choice with tourists and there is something to suit all tastes and budgets. Public transport between the two cities is excellent, which helps to make sightseeing and navigating both areas much easier.
