CMAI (Clothing Manufacturers Association of India) recognizes excellence in various facets of the Indian apparel industry, since 2006. This year, which is fourth in the series, nominations for ‘Apex Award’ were in 30 different categories.
On 21st December, 2009, the award ceremony was held at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Western Express Highway, Mumbai, where Pearl Academy of Fashion was adjudjued as ‘The Best Academic/ Training Institute for 2008-09’.
Other nominees short listed in this category were NIFT, Gandhinagar and School of Fashion Technology (SOFT) Pune.

It acknowledges excellence in apparel manufacturing, marketing and supply chain management also. Contributors from allied industries are also honoured during CMAI awards ceremony.
