In anticipation of a large amount of site traffic after the premiere, the producers of the show, Manhattan based Sharp entertainment contracted Dotcomweavers to redesign Crazy Susan's existing website to be more efficient and easier to use, have a better online shopping experience and go-live in time for the early episodes of "Tough Cookies." Dotcomweavers launched a new and improved Crazy Susan's website on July 22, 2011 just days after the premiere but ready for the second episode . The site was built using an open source, customized e-commerce platform and features an interactive cookie menu with pop-up descriptions, customer accounts to track orders, automated shipping process and a customized content management system that allows the admin to view orders and their status and view top selling and most viewed items. Visitors to the site can benefit from a fast, easy and secure checkout that is seamless to the Web 2.0 design.
"We are very happy with the new design and functionality of our website" commented Linda Brand, Crazy Susan's Cookie Company Co-Owner and sister of the company namesake, Susan Adair. Linda goes on to mention through an e-mal correspondence that "ease of use for customers" is something that Dotcomweavers has specifically improved upon from their previous website design and credits Dotcomweavers for being very responsive to their needs.
"Tough Cookies" operates as Crazy Susan's Cookie Company with a storefront location in Ocean City, New Jersey. Crazy Susan's Cookies has been featured in various venues and has been seen on the Rachel Ray Show.
