HealthWay Home Products Raises Money for the American Cancer Society

The staff at HealthWay Home Products participated in the "C Yourself" campaign with Showtime TV Network to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

Online PR News – 13-September-2011 – – HealthWay Home Products took photos of each of the staff members on Tuesday, August 30th making the letter C and submitted them to the "C Yourself" campaign for the American Cancer Society. The purpose of this creative act of kindness was to help raise money for the American Cancer Society; a total of $5 per photo was donated by Showtime TV Network.

By taking 21 staff photos and 1 group photo of a large C, HealthWay helped raise $110 for the American Cancer Society. The HealthWay staff was more than happy to participate in the campaign and was glad to help the American Cancer Society raise money to fund cancer research.

This is the second year that Showtime has participated in this fundraising campaign. The Showtime Original Series “The Big C”, in which a main character has cancer, is the driving source behind this campaign. For each “C: shared, Showtime would donate $5 to the American Cancer Society, up to $30,000. Almost $13,000 has been raised to date just from uploading photos.

“So many of us have been affected by cancer, we either know someone who has beat it, someone that is fighting it, or we have lost someone to a battle with cancer. When the e-mail from came to my inbox I knew this was something that we could all participate in easily and no one would object to it,” says Jennifer Howe, an administrative assistant at HealthWay. “I would encourage all who read this to logon to and upload a photo of themselves making a C. It’s a fun way to get creative and support the American Cancer Society in their quest for creating a world with more birthdays and less cancer.”
