Cycle Race Around Ireland to Start 11th of September

2000km non-stop endurance race is one of the toughest cycle races in the world.

Online PR News – 31-August-2011 – – The annual Race Around Ireland is about to start, with cyclists from around the world coming to Navan (just north of Dublin), to see if they are tough enough to complete the circuit.

The race starts at 4pm on Sunday 11th of September and finishes when the last rider completes the circuit - riders can sleep if they want to, but it will cost them time, which is what makes this race so tough. Last year's winner, Bernd Paul, completed the course in just under 5 days, so he was riding more than 400kms per day!

The race is also open to teams who can ride in relays, but it is a heroic performance for anyone to make it round - for completing the course they get a finisher's cycling jersey, sponsored by Carvalho Custom, proud sponsors of the Race Around Ireland.

Carvalho Custom is one of Europe's leading suppliers of pro quality custom cycling & triathlon clothing, supplying direct from Portugal to clubs and organisations around the world.
