This article announces that the Designer Ki Khoj contest as organized by Sawansukha Jewellers reaches its final stage. Just another step forward before the latest creative mind in the town gets his/her crown.
Online PR News – 30-August-2011 – – The count down has begun! Post the selection of 15 candidates in each category for Designer ki Khoj event – now the time has come to narrow down the search even further.
The best win – and the short listed participants are now busy designing their final piece. The theme for finale - called the Winds of Change in Bengal that was announced for the contestants to design their finale piece Is now all set to become a reality. Which one is the best remains to be seen as each of the contestants vie hard with each other to create the winning piece.
In its last leg which was “Meet the Mentor” session there were 45 candidates short listed , which included 15 from each category.
The primary objective of this contest being to promote hidden talent possessing exceptional creative bent of mind; Designers Ki Khoj invited interested candidature from 3 different categories- Jewellery, Fashion and Lifestyle to participate and display their creation. This competition was open to all, above 15 years of age and lasted for seven weeks where the contestants were given plenty of time to craft something unique. The shortlisted candidates were then given a luminous chance to participate in yet another episode called “Meet the Mentor”.
On 22nd July, at The Conclave “Meet the Mentor” was a session where selected 45 candidates got an opportunity to interact with eminent mentors who are stalwarts in their field of work- Jewellery, Fashion & Lifestyle.
The panel of mentors from 3 different categories included:-
Fashion: Abhishek Dutta, Jaya Misra, Heena Gorsia
Lifestyle: Neha Jalan, Dimple Bawri, Archhana Lakhotia & Kavita Poddar
Jewellery: Siddharthaa Sawansukha, Rupchand Sawansukha, Vasundhara Mantri
15 candidates from each category ( 15*3)were selected for “Meet the Mentor” session which would be filtered to 27 in the next stage.
Every individual aspires to dream something momentous in life and for all those who have an inclination towards designing, now have the opportunity to make the most of their talent. Sawansukha Jewellers, a house of legendary jewels, has taken an initiative-“Designers ki Khoj”, the first of its designing contest in the city- a platform for the aspiring young minds to showcase their talent and later help them give their form a reality.
On this occasion Mr. Siddharthaa Sawansukha said “We at Sawansukha feel that jewellery is not just ornamentation, but it is a meeting point of many creative minds. It is a humble initiative to provide a platform through education & nurture the brilliant minds of the designers, modify their skill set and bring out the best in them”.
