On Thursday, September 1, at 7 p.m., Paul Jury will be at the store to discuss and sign copies of his humorous memoir, "States of Confusion: My 19,000-Mile Detour to Find Direction," which chronicles his misadventures and mishaps on an epic road trip through all forty-eight contiguous states in forty-eight days.

One More Page Books will host a launch party for Alma Katsu and her debut novel, "The Taker," on Thursday, September 8, at 7 pm. Live music and refreshments will be offered at this free event.

Former police detective and author Ken Lang chats about his true crime book, "Walking Among the Dead: True Crime Stores from a Homicide Detective," on Wednesday, September 14, at 7 pm.

On Thursday, September 15, at 7 pm, The Falls Church League of Women Voters hosts an evening with Sara Fitzgerald, author of a new biography of a nationally known female political leader, "Elly Peterson: Mother of the Moderates."

In concert with the Fall for the Book Festival, One More Page Books will have a panel for Young Adult authors on Sunday, September 18, at 4 pm. Authors Amy Brecount White, Valerie O. Patterson, Jon Skovron, Pam Bachorz and Sarah Collins Honenberger will discuss writing, publishing and selling the YA genre.

Sandra Parshall signs her new book, "Under the Dog Star," on Thursday, September 22, at 7 pm. This fast-paced mystery is the fourth in the popular Rachel Goddard mystery series, set in Virginia.

On Monday, September 26, at 11 am, One More Page Books participates in the George Vinall ALS Foundation Golf Event at the Bethesda Country Club. More information can be found at

Retired Army lieutenant colonel, sculptor and author Robert Sanábria will be at the bookstore on Tuesday, September 27, at 7 pm, to discuss his latest work, "The Last Californio," a tale of illegal immigration, murder, love and revenge.

On Wednesday, September 28, at 7 pm, Benjamin Markovits discusses and signs "Childish Loves," his third volume in the Byron trilogy.

One More Page will also host two book club discussions. On Tuesday, September 6 at 7 pm, "Everything Beautiful Began After," a novel by Simon Van Booy, will be discussed. The mystery/suspense group will meet on Tuesday, September 20, at 7 pm, to talk about "The Beekeeper’s Apprentice" by Laurie King.
