"States of Confusion" author will be at Arlington, VA independent bookstore
Online PR News – 28-August-2011 – – Paul Jury, author of "States of Confusion: My 19,000-Mile Detour to Find Direction," will be at One More Page Books, an independent, neighborhood-oriented bookstore in Arlington, VA, for a discussion and book signing on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 7 p.m.
"States of Confusion," published by Adams Media, a division of F+W Media, is the true chronicle of Paul Jury’s hilarious journey through forty-eight states in forty-eight days in his parent’s beat-up Volkswagen Eurovan. Rather than deal with the problems he’s facing as a recent Northwestern University graduate – a useless degree, $80,000 in debt, a job he can’t stand and a girlfriend he can’t quite commit to – Paul decides to leave them in his rearview mirror. His mission is to hit all forty-eight contiguous states on one epic road trip – traveling side-roads to soak in the real experience of small towns and the countryside, to meet “real” Americans along the way while figuring out what he’s going to do with his life.
Paul Jury’s spirited adventure inevitably leads to mayhem – from ex-cons in Arkansas and breakdowns in Montana, to police run-ins in Connecticut, Florida, Texas and Washington. He soon realizes that there's no going back but comes to a surprising realization that only takes him forty-eight states to figure out. "States of Confusion is an excellent choice for the recent college graduate, philosophizing student," or for anyone trying to find their path in life.
Paul Jury graduated from Northwestern University and is currently a writer in Los Angeles. He also writes and produces viral videos, and runs a tutoring program for kids looking to make the leap to college. His book trailer, "50 State Stereotypes in 2 Minutes," has already received more than one million visits on YouTube.
