25 Smokin' Figurados Set Out To Ignite Fans With Video Release Party In Austin, TX

For the first time since making two of the Top 10 lists at the Austin Music Awards, 25 Smokin’ Figurados will be appearing in Austin with a new music video and several new songs.

Online PR News – 26-May-2009 – – 25 Smokin' Figurados will be returning to Ruta Maya on June 13th and fans attending the show will be treated to a viewing of the band’s newly released music video, ‘I Wash It Down’ before 25 Smokin' Figurados take the stage and rock the house. Along with the new video, the band will be performing several new songs that do not appear on their debut CD, ‘Divine Spirits, Holy Smoke’.

The video release party will be held at Ruta Maya, 3601 South Congress Ave. in Austin on Saturday, June 13 at 8 pm. Other bands appearing on the bill will be the John Ike Walton Revival and the Kalu James Band.

25 Smokin' Figurados is the culmination of the efforts of Timothy Abbott and Gregg Kirk. Backing the Figurados at the show will be Phil Bass on drums, David Piggott on bass and Zhenya Rock on guitar.

‘Divine Spirits, Holy Smoke’ was voted “One of the Top Ten Texas Releases of 2008” by Margaret Moser of the Austin Chronicle. At the 2008-2009 Austin Music Awards, they scored #9 in the Best New Band category and #5 in the Best None of the Above music genre category.
