Online PR News – 01-August-2011 – – On Aug. 1, 2011, Ctrip English, the English department of China's leading online travel agency, Ctrip.com International, Ltd. (Nasdaq: CTRP), will be launching a "Win Your Dream China Vacation" contest, giving travel enthusiasts across the globe the chance to win a free two week trip to China for themselves and a friend with an itinerary of their own design.
The winner will arrive and depart from Shanghai on an Economy Class flight courtesy of contest sponsor Delta Air Lines, and spend two free nights in a Deluxe Room with Gold Lounge access at the historic Peace Hotel on each leg of the trip, courtesy of contest sponsor the Fairmont Peace Hotel. All flights and accommodation once in China will be provided by Ctrip.
To submit a dream itinerary, participants can visit the contest page from August 1st through September 9th, 2011 and submit an entry form. Participants are encouraged to be creative with their submissions, selecting up to four cities in Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan) and designing their travels over the 14 day vacation period.
After initial submissions, a panel of Ctrip judges will sort through the itineraries and, on Sept. 14, will announce their top 20 selections. The same day, registered Ctrip members will be able to view the itineraries and vote for their favorite. Voting will take place for two weeks until Sept. 28.
Participants may also choose to submit a YouTube video along with their entry. Though video submissions are not required, Ctrip encourages contestants to create a video to make their entry more memorable for judges & voters. All videos will be hosted on the Ctrip YouTube Channel and the top three videos will be selected by Ctrip English to win one of three Lomography cameras.
The Grand Prize winner & YouTube winners will be announced on Sept. 30. The Grand Prize winner will be allowed to invite one person along for the ride on their custom itinerary, and must claim their prize within one year. In addition to their dream trip, the winner will also be given a Lomography camera. He or she will be encouraged to share stories and pictures from the trip with the Ctrip English China Travel Blog.
