Publicis Touchpoint Solutions, Inc announces Maria K Woods, Esq has joined the organization as Director, Compliance and Privacy.

Ms. Woods joins Publicis Touchpoint Solutions with over 16 years in the healthcare industry. She served most recently as the Vice President, Legal, Regulatory, and Professional Affairs with the Greater New York Hospital Association where she was responsible for supporting legal, regulatory, and policy issues with particular focus on HIPAA privacy, infection control, and prevention issues.
Previously, Ms. Woods was with Novartis Pharmaceutical Corporation as Director, Ethics and Compliance. There she was responsible for internal investigations of allegations involving possible violations of state of federal laws, PhRMA code and company code of conduct policies. She also designed training programs for home office and field based employees, developed and implemented policies, protocol and procedures related to compliance, case reviews, and investigations, and interpreted complex state and federal regulations for the company. Additionally, Ms. Woods developed and implemented the department’s first field based audit plan.
Ms. Woods received her BS degree in Health Care Administration from Kings College. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from City University of New York Law School and possesses a certificate in Publishing and Communications from Harvard University.

She will work closely with all Touchpoint teams and clients and ensure compliance for all company initiatives. Ms. Woods will report directly to Rick Keefer and functionally to Publicis Healthcare Communication Group Deputy General Counsel, Corporate and Employment, John Spitzig.
