Live performance from Starshine Theatre workshop participants to be held Friday, July 29
Online PR News – 29-July-2011 – – Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) will collaborate with The Players Guild of Dearborn to present its third annual Starshine Theatre, a four day summer workshop for individuals with special needs.
Consumers from NSO’s Life Choices program will learn acting skills and stagecrafts from volunteers of the Players Guild of Dearborn. This will help them to become knowledgeable about the theatre and the performing arts. At the end of the workshop, participants will perform a live skit Free to be You and Me, which will be free and open to the public.
An afterglow reception will take place following the performance.
Since 1955, NSO has been reaching out to people across metropolitan Detroit by strengthening and empowering neighborhoods, supporting families and helping people in need. Over the years, the scope and variety of services offered have grown into a network of sophisticated, vertically integrated programs that have received local, statewide and national recognition.
Life Choices is a division of the NSO, which provides services and support for children and adults with developmental disabilities and to their extended families.
