Last Quarter Australian consumers flocked to online shopping sites, with websites experiencing an average increase in traffic of 11.5%. Traffic trends across 320 shopping categories are included in the first issue of The Webu Index.
Online PR News – 21-July-2011 – – Sydney, Australia – Webu, Australia’s online shopping directory conducted an in-depth analysis of the Traffic Trends by Category of approximately 2500 online shops that are currently listed on Webu, by measuring each sites’ popularity over the past three months, using the combined data from Webu site metrics and data sourced from Alexa( www.alexa.com ). This analysis revealed the average changes in traffic across each product category. The results, as detailed in The Webu Index, are interesting, and represent a reflection of the changing shopping habits and interests of the Australian Public, and are relevant to SME Business owners, marketers and commentators alike.
This is the first Webu Index to be issued, with the next due out on September 1, 2011.
