San Diego Self Storage completed a successful collection drive to benefit Homefront San Diego, a non-profit organization that provides active military families with ongoing needs in San Diego County
Online PR News – 11-July-2011 – – San Diego, CA----San Diego Self Storage (SDSS) completed a successful collection drive to benefit Homefront San Diego, a non-profit organization that provides active military families with ongoing needs in San Diego County. The collection was conducted June 1 through June 30, 2011 by all 16 SDSS self-storage San Diego facilities. Items that were donated filled five large storage units and include: new women’s clothing and shoes; living room, gently used dining room, kitchen, bedroom and office furniture; lamps and household accessories; children’s clothing and toys; small kitchen appliances; electronics; grocery and gas cards and new baby items.
According to Steven Teixeira, SDSS Director of Property Management, "We’re very pleased with the response from the public and our facility tenants who really came through with useful donations that will help these military families with much-needed items. This drive supplements our discount rental program that we offer enlisted servicemen and women and due to the positive response, we hope to make this an annual signature event, much like our annual Toys for Tots toy collection during the holiday season.”
