Paintings by Czech children will go to Mozambique

The Helping Africa Charity Drive, which is being organized by the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park and the Community Development Program, is mainly providing the collection of material gifts for the residents of Africa.

Online PR News – 14-July-2011 – – One of the sponsors, the Elementary school Brigádníků in Prague, has decided to express its solidarity in another way. The school management has sent the African children 51 paintings, which were painted by Czech students.

After the summer vacations the roles will be reversed and the Czech children will receive a package from their peers in Africa. The entire event has one goal in mind – to deepen the mutual relations between two completely different cultures and above all to bring the children of Mozambique a bit of joy and happiness.

A great number of sponsors already became involved in the charity drive.

A number of prominent European organizations decided to support the Helping Africa charity drive, which is organized in the Czech Republic since January 2011 to help the children and their families in Mozambique, Africa. Among these are such companies as the BMW Invelt, Česká charita, Arcidiecézní charita Praha – Sv. Terezie or EFEKTIM. The drive was also supported by the employees of Colgate-Palmolive, Neverland Kindergarten and Nursery, Waldorf Kindergarten, Our Submarine Kindergarten and a number of other schools and kindergartens and organizations, but also individuals. The Helping Africa Drive coordinator in the Czech Republic is Efektim.

The helping Africa Drive starts with material donations and continues with development projects in Mozambique

The Helping Africa event does not cover just the collection of material donations, but it also helps the community at the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park in practical ways. The projects that it organizes at the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park are being worked on not just by the European donors, but the local Mozambican residents are actively involved as well.

The Helping Africa project can be supported in several ways:

Material donations by September 25th, 2011 (clothing, toys, school supplies, etc.),
Healthcare supplies (medical kits and others),
Getting involved in specific development programs (e.g. school development, building of drinking water reservoirs),
Financial help in specific projects (construction of veterinary clinic, building of basic infrastructure, water treatment plant etc.)

Current information about the ongoing projects or running programs as well as projects in the making for which the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park is looking for partners can be found at

About Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park

Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park spans across Mozambique and is one of the largest private African parks. It neighbors and fluently ties into the Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe. The primary objective for the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park is to protect the natural wealth preserved in the area that is practically untouched by humans.

Another integral activity of this park is a sensitive, sustainable and long term development of local communities. Park activities focus on the construction of schools, hospitals, healthcare facilities, water reservoirs or the development of local infrastructure. All these steps are taken with utmost consideration for the environment while respecting the pristine state and beauty of this area. There is an opportunity to actively help this region in the Czech Republic through the Helping Africa charity drive. More information can be found at
