Social Networking Job Seeker Training Video Licensed by St. Petersburg College

Palm Harbor, FL (July 11, 2011) St. Petersburg College’s Corporate Training Program and Bernie Borges, CEO of Find and Convert, an Internet marketing agency, announced today the availability of an online program which can help job seekers find work by developing social networking strategies.

Online PR News – 11-July-2011 – – The online program is based on a training video developed by Borges named, social networking for Job Seekers. The program is comprised of five segments that help job seekers develop job search strategies using LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter as well as blogging and other online content strategies.

The course also provides job seekers insights into how to become entrepreneurial during a job search. A key instructional take-away for job seekers is the importance of building a personal brand to build professional and social credibility to strengthen their job search. The online course is available to SPC students, alumni, as well as the general public for $49.

The course educates inspires and challenges the student to take action that can deliver positive results in a job search.

“This online training content is extremely valuable for job seekers to improve their chances through social networking skills,” said Stan Vittetoe, provost of SPC’s Clearwater Campus and the person who oversees the Corporate Training Program. “The course educates, inspires and challenges the student to take action that can deliver positive results in a job search.”

Recruiters increasingly review job candidates’ online reputations prior to making an offer, or before inviting candidates for an interview.
“Job seekers must be adept at social networking to build their personal brand and uncover job opportunities,” Borges said. “I’m very pleased to partner with SPC to deliver this training content to Florida job seekers. Candidates who develop a strong online reputation improve their chances of finding a job. This program also helps job seekers gain valuable personal brand building skills.”

The new Social Media for Job Seekers online program is available online at http://spcollege.augusoft.net/ in the Career Development section under the Professional Development course offerings. Students that complete the course assessment will receive a certificate of completion from SPC.
