Training Session With World Leading Martial Arts Star To Raise Funds For Disaster Charity

Jeremy Hyams, the CEO of Property Consortium UK, has arranged a fund-raising event in Somerset that will pack a punch - drafting in the iconic UFC martial arts expert Frank Mir from the US for a hands-on training session that will raise money for a disaster charity.

Online PR News – 04-July-2011 – – Frank, a six feet three, 18 stone powerhouse is recognised as one of the world’s most talented mixed martial artists in his division of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).
Jeremy, 42, who has his grading for a black belt in kick-boxing later this year, has arranged for the 31-year-old American to come to Taunton to show his skills and share an insight into his fighting prowess. The event is jointly-organised by Jeremy’s kick-boxing club Taunton Cougars, run by Mark Monks, Chief Instructor of KMA (Korean Martial Arts) England.
Proceeds from the event will go to Shelterbox, a Cornwall-based charity that has for more than 10 years provided emergency shelter and lifesaving supplies for families around the world who are affected by disasters at the time when they need it the most.
The charity has been involved in supporting people affected by large-scale disasters including the devastating earthquakes in Japan and Haiti.
Property Consortium UK, which offers a 24 hour building repair network and service delivery centre to insurers, loss adjusters and brokers nationwide, hopes that people from the insurance sector will come along to the event.

Jeremy said: “Mark and I were over the moon when Frank agreed to head-up the training session. It will be a superb event for people wanting to meet him and have a go in one of his world-renowned training sessions.
“It’s a real achievement to get him to do this, and it is great that the event will raise funds for Shelterbox.”
The training session takes place at Taunton School on 6 August tickets cost £50 to participate and £20 to spectators and are available from 0845 5399 555.
Frank Mir is a black belt in both BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) and Kempo Karate and a former UFC heavyweight champion.
