The question β Do you think itβs important for the family to sit down and eat meals together? β was asked online and received an almost unanimous βyesβ: a rare and resounding majority from the loyal readership.
Research has found that those children who sit down to eat with their families at meal times are much less likely to be overweight or to experience weight difficulties later in life. It has also been found that children who eat regularly and with other family members are much less likely to eat junk food and are more likely to follow a healthy and balanced diet full of fruit and vegetables.
