Phoenix, Arizona June 22nd, 2011 – Keeping up with its annual tradition, a BBQ “Blowout” has been announced by Bill Johnson’s Big Apple, marking the beginning of the 4th of July Independence Day celebrations.
Like previous barbeque “Blowouts” this one has also been predicted to attract a “full house” as families search for a better alternative than cooking at home.
Bill Johnson’s Big Apple takes after a local icon/ entrepreneur/ celebrity/ stuntman. Bill Johnson started earning fame by his performances at a “rebel” radio station - but did not stop there. Ever since then, Bill Johnson flew airplanes, acted, hypnotized, invented products and started countless successful businesses. His legacy lives on and the Johnson family has ensured its lasting survival by continuing to do business under the light of the ethical values Bill Johnson lived by.
Bill Johnson’s Big Apple was the first themed restaurant to have hit Phoenix in the 50’s. The Phoenix restaurant introduced several innovations to the dining scene including its unique BBQ sauces and “cowboy” environment.
“My Granddad always said that the 4th of July and BBQ go hand-in-hand and it’s our patriotic duty to celebrate with a BBQ blowout.” Sherry Cameron, the CEO of Bill Johnson’s Big Apple said. “It’s the perfect opportunity for Phoenix families searching for great tradition without the work of a backyard BBQ.” She added.
The BBQ “blowout” will start on the 4th of July and will go on for three days during which customers will be able to order premium menu items, including Beefy Ribs, Pork Ribs, BBQ Chicken and Spicy Hot Link at a discounted price of $13 at all their restaurant locations, including Phoenix, Goodyear and Mesa.
