Online PR News – 17-December-2009 – – A year ago, the Cara Mia Theatre Company was on the brink of extinction when David Lozano and Raul Trevino decided to write a play based on the historic student walk-outs of Crystal City, Texas.
Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the historic event in civil rights history, the successful opening run of “Crystal City 1969,” gave Cara Mia and Dallas theater a new breath of life!
Several of the original students and leaders involved in the walk out were in attendance during a sold-out opening night. The rave reviews have been pouring in along with standing ovations at every performance.
