Twice the Yield, Half the Cost

St. Michael, MN (June 9, 2011) – U.S. Water Ethanol Process Technologies Introduces COR™; product used to extract corn oil in ethanol production.

Online PR News – 12-June-2011 – – U.S. Water Ethanol Process Technologies, a subsidiary of US Water Services, Inc, announces the development of CORTM, an enhancement additive proven to increase the removal of corn oil from mechanical separation systems at dry-mill ethanol plants more efficiently than other products in the market. The product will benefit all ethanol facilities that have existing corn oil separation equipment or are contemplating corn oil separation equipment in the near future.

US Water Services has developed a consistently reproducible field test procedure, customized to individual plant’s specific needs. The implemented CORTM programs have been effective across the country increasing corn oil extraction by 25-100%, potentially at milder process conditions, depending on the effectiveness or barriers associated with stand alone mechanical separation. Use of the additive has also resulted in longer operation between cleaning as well as softer deposits that are easier to remove.

A U.S. based ethanol facility was producing oil without the benefit of an additive. Production was approximately 0.22 lbs/bushel of corn oil, with visible solids and cloudy appearance apparent in the corn oil extracted. After implementation of US Water Services’ CORTM product optimized for their system, production was increased to 0.48 lbs/bushel with a dramatic reduction of cloudiness and solids in the appearance of the extracted corn oil. The plant’s income from the extracted corn oil has doubled since implementation of COR™. Read more stories like this at our blog at
