About A Leg Up Rescue

The 2nd Annual Pups N Pinot Fundraiser supports A Leg Up Rescue, a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs and cats from life-threatening situations. All of these animals are either in danger of being euthanized in animal shelters, neglected or abused, or taken from the public so they are not bounced around to different homes or collected and sold to research labs.

A Leg Up Rescue does not have a shelter or kennel. They place pets in compassionate foster homes so they may begin to develop exceptional house behavior.

When A Leg Up rescues an animal, it provides all the healthcare needed including spay or neuter procedures, vaccinations, flea/tick treatment, heartworm medication & their microchip. If any additional medical issues need to be addressed, those procedures are performed as well.

Ingrid Campagne, Founder of A Leg Up Rescue said, “I helped start this group because of the ever-growing animal population. Not only do we take dogs from no kill shelters (who many times do euthanize pets), we also make a point of accepting “hard to adopt” dogs like those with just 2 legs, blind animals, those with illnesses, etc.” We think there is a home for all dogs out there.”

Ms. Campagne went on to say, “The biggest challenge is cost. While we have some great veterinarians that donate some services, the increasing number of dogs, ailments and food needed is beyond what we can afford. We truly need help and that’s why the 2nd Annual Pups N Pinot is so important to us and all the dogs we assist.”
