Online PR News – 06-June-2011 – – Automation and orchestration software leader allows companies to automate provisioning of additional devices within clouds powered by GaleFore Software
Santa Clara, Calif. –Gale Technologies, a leading provider of software automation solutions that power IT as a Service for the lab, data center, and cloud, today announced the availability of six new Resource Adapters(RA) that will allow multiple new products from NetApp, HP, Dell and Cisco to be seamlessly integrated into a cloud built using GaleForce software, the company’s flagship product.
By using the new RAs, organizations can allow workloads to seamlessly be distributed between legacy and new equipment. Gale Technologies now supports NetApp storage controllers with both ONTAP and OnCommand (DFM) interfaces, and ONPATH 3900 physical layers switches. Gale also has upgraded support for HP servers with iLO interfaces, Dell servers with DRAC6 interfaces, and Cisco routers and switches with IOS and CatOS interfaces.
The RA framework is a flexible, modular layer in the GaleForce architecture that supports adapters or drivers to a wide range of hardware and software products. Once adapters are created using the GaleForce Software Development Kit (SDK), they can simply be "plugged-in" to the GaleForce cloud, without any changes to the operating software.
“Gale Technologies is deeply committed to simplifying the deployment of real-world clouds for organizations,” said Akhil Sahai, vice president, product management at Gale Technologies. “We undertake the task of building an extensible and modular product through resource adapters so that customers can continue to build ever more powerful clouds by seamlessly inserting new devices into their existing environments and start to reap the ROI benefits of their new equipment immediately.”
GaleForce, Gale Technologies’ flagship cloud enablement and resource provisioning solution, transforms static IT environments into dynamic private or hybrid clouds, enabling organizations to drastically reduce capital and operational expenditures. With GaleForce, IT operators are able to set up a cloud, lab, demo, or data center environment in just minutes, providing secure access to resources 24/7 from anywhere in the world. Using GaleForce, operators design rich service and infrastructure templates with drag-and-drop ease and publish them to a custom brandable Web portal catalog. When users reserve and schedule templates from the catalog, GaleForce seamlessly allocates and provisions appropriate physical and virtual resources from the pool of IT resources to bring the workload to life.
The six new RAs began shipping in May and can be ordered by contacting Gale Technologies at firstname.lastname@example.org or +1-408-213-4900
