February 23, 2010: Monaghan, Ireland | Cased Dimensions Sales Manager, Liam Murray announces that the company recently Released an Agile Portal to Support Remote Software Development. The process of involving clients in the software development process is, with most vendors, a black art.
Client requirements are shared and the client only receives visibility on progress at lengthy staged intervals. This means a lot of time and money is wasted should mistakes be made in communication or interpretation of software development functions against business requirements.
Cased Dimensions has coded their Agile framework into a portal to enable real time business intelligence communication against software projects.
The portal is fully integrated it with Microsoft Project. Liam Murray, discusses that a Sales Manager, it wuld be clear that once a project is agreed, the tasks are pushed into the portal where developers can see what is expected of them on a daily basis. Team Leaders and Client Sponsors have user specific logins to view the information required. Reporting information is presented as a dashboard showing project “burn rate” whilst users can drill into the portal for more detailed information.
Our Agile BI Portal is then used to support the tasks for daily stand ups, scrums, burn rate, weekly playbacks, showcasing and other functions as structured within our Agile framework. The beauty of this is that a client can view on a daily basis the productivity of each developer whilst tracking tasks into the overall project. Should a developer misinterpret a requirement, it will be captured immediately during a 30 minute-daily playback with the client via the portal and fixed.
