Classical music fans are in for a treat as more than 230 concerts will be played in Salzburg as part of a repertoire of music featuring the work of the world’s all time greatest composers, can report.

Online PR News – 03-June-2011 – – Salzburger Schlosskonzerte has one of the most extensive collections of recitals of any series worldwide and this year an impressive line up of international musicians will be performing for audiences. Every concert is held within the Mirabell Palace and the prestigious concert hall of marble which is a famous setting for some of Mozart’s own recitals.

The concerts will feature heavily with many of Mozart’s finest compositions along with other composers such as Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Bach, Vivaldi and Mendelssohn.

For this series in 2011 Franz Liszt’s chamber music will also be played in a number of concerts to mark the 200th anniversary of his birthday. On 2nd July 2011 the duo of Harald Herzl and Tunde Kurucz with be performing on the violin and piano to play pieces by Beethoven and Mozart.

Visitors staying at Salzburg hotels can catch the performance from 20:00 or choose from one of the many other recitals that will run throughout the year.
