NSO APpoints New Medical Director

Will work with NSO targeted populations

Online PR News – 05-June-2011 – – The Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) announced it has appointed Dr. Richard Marcolini as its new Medical Director. Dr. Marcolini has been a staff psychiatrist at NSO since 1996. Sheilah P. Clay, NSO’s president and CEO made the announcement.

Dr. Marcolini is a Fellow, board certified psychiatrist. He is also board certified in geriatric psychology. He is a graduate of the Michigan Psychoanalytic Institute, an adjunct faculty member at the Michigan School for Professional Psychology and has been an instructor at Wayne State University School of Medicine and Departments of Psychiatry and Family Medicine. He also conducts a private practice and has hospital privileges at Harper, Sinai-Grace and Detroit Receiving hospitals.

“Dr. Marcolini brings passion and a wealth of experience to this position,” notes Clay. “We deeply value his leadership as NSO moves forward to meet the ever-changing healthcare needs of the residents of this community.”

Dr. Marcolini replaces Dr. Kathiravelu Thabolingam who is remaining with NSO and serving as a staff psychiatrist with NSO’s Older Adult Services. Dr. Thabolingam will concentrate on consumer care and continue to provide outstanding, compassionate and caring services to seniors. In his position as Medical Director, Dr. Thabolingam worked closely with NSO target populations, including the homeless and individuals with developmental disabilities.
