Online PR News – 03-June-2011 – – San Diego, CA, June 02, 2011 -- On Thursday, June 9, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce will partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration and ESET to celebrate the accomplishments of small and micro businesses at the 2011 Small Business Awards and Business Exchange. Finalist will be honored and award winners will be announced live during a luncheon at the Town and Country Resort & Convention Center.
“We couldn’t be prouder of all of our applicants and small business members,” said Ruben Barrales, Chamber president and CEO. “It’s not easy being a small business in today’s economy. Through hard work and innovation, these businesses have managed to thrive and contribute to the commercial prosperity of our community.”
Prior to the Awards Luncheon, the Chamber will host the Business Exchange, a speed networking event where participants will have one-on-one face time with up to 100 other companies to exchange ideas and share their latest products and services. These companies will then be featured in a mini expo for the more than 800 attendees expected to attend the luncheon.
“The Business exchange is not your average networking event,” said Doug Holman, Chamber vice president of membership. “It is fast-paced, interactive, and an extremely effective way to make quality connections and maximize visibility within the local business community.”
The Business Exchange will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and the Awards Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Individual tickets for the Small Business Awards are $65 and $499 for a table of eight, which includes a tabletop exhibit at the Business Exchange. The Business Exchange is $250 for a tabletop exhibit, and includes two tickets to the luncheon.
Both the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce and the San Diego chapter of the U.S. Small Business Administration will present awards recognizing outstanding achievement by local small and micro businesses.
