Online PR News – 29-May-2011 – – Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication has launched monthly contests on the widely popular Social Networking Site FACEBOOK. Realizing the social reach of Facebook, AIMC has organized contests on Slogans, Messages and Caption writing on to create awareness on HIV-AIDS in youths and to promote the creative skills amongst the students and the youth. The contest is open for all.
The month of April, 2011, witnessed a contest on ‘Photography’, which received an overwhelming response, with hundreds of students participating. The first prize was won by Gaurav Bhardwaj for his photograph on setting sun, and Tarun Sharma bagged the second prize.
For the month of May and June, AIMC has announced the ‘Caption Writing Message/Slogan Contest on HIV/AIDS’ .The contest is open to all the aspiring media students and young professionals.
There will be two prize winners: one prize winner to be judged by the maximum likes that a particular CAPTION/SLOGAN receives and the other to be judged by a Jury comprising Prof. S. Raghavachari, Professor in Broadcast Journalism, Indian Institute of Mass Communication and a Faculty from this institute. In addition to this, the next five will receive the certificate of appreciation.
