Online PR News – 14-May-2009 – – According to a Twelve-Month report released in April by MRIS,Inc. , Metroplitan Regional Information Systems, Inc., there have been significant increases in both the Pending Home Sales in the Townhome category between the reporting periods of April 2008 and April 2009. According to MRIS, overall Pending Home Sales under $200,000 have seen an increase of 78.7% since last April and those selling between $200,001 and $300,000 have seen a 9.1% increase. There was a 3.4% increase for all housing types within all price ranges. Previously-Owned Homes increased 5.7%. Single-Family Detached homes increased 8.0% and pending sales for Townhomes increased 13.3%.
Also reported by MRIS was a decrease in the days on the market for all housing types from 121 days to 112, a decline of 7.6%. Specific decreases within this category are seen in Previously-Owned Homes, down 7.4% and New Construction Homes, with listing times down 6.3%.
