"Wine lovers from Manila, Subic, Cebu, Angeles City Pampanga and Clark Philippines and throughout Asia will be treated to an exciting day of buying fine vintage at attractive prices in the second ever wine auction to be held in Pampanga." commented fine wine valuation expert Arnold Aguas. He further stated that "Philippines wine lovers frequently travel out of the country to attend wine auctions in America, Australia and more recently in the new wine capital of the world, Hong Kong. To a wine enthusiast, a wine auction is a memorable experience and very often good vintage wines can be acquired at very low prices. Moreover, it is only in wine auctions that wines that are hard to find in the market can be found".
A leading supplier of fine vintage wines, Clark Field Private Wine House & Clark Field Private Wine Auctioneers team up to react to popular demand for wine auctions to be held here in the Philippines with 7 auctions planned for the rest of 2011.
Although several smaller and more informal private wine auctions have been successfully organized by Clark Field Private Wine Auctioneers in Clark Field Freeport Zone Pampanga, this auction is the first wine event of this scale with a focus on Australian fine wines.
Arnold stated that "With registration only started yesterday the Auction is already 60% subscribed and is expected to be another huge hit with entrants from Malaysia, Macau, Singapore, Hong Kong and Mainland China making up the bulk of paid registrants so far".
Stephen Davis, a Clark Field Private Wine Auctioneers spokesman said “The auction theme is a virtual auction with wines to be held by their owners until paid by the successful bidders upon which time they will be transported to the buyers nominated storage facility”. He further stated that “All fine wine portfolios will be displayed throughout the venue on giant digital displays 100 feet wide and 50 feet high in a sure to be loved virtual display format which is sure to be a huge hit with attendee’s”.
The auction will be held at the Philexcel Compound located in the heart of Clark Field, Angeles City, Pampanga, Philippines.

Spokeswoman Vivian Tan remarked "We are delighted to have hosted the very first wines and spirits auction in the country which has been a smashing success. It is clear that whilst the Philippines is a relatively young market, there are more and more connoisseurs and budding collectors looking for good bargains of stellar wines and spirits. Adding to the tasting experience of 100 wines from our portfolio, the auction has been a great learning opportunity for many of us about the perceived value of wines and spirits, about the difference in varietals, vintages, 'old' world vs 'new' world, wines for investment and those ripe to drink. This is definitely the first of many auctions to come."
