Online PR News – 13-May-2009 – – Visitors and shoppers to Noblesville’s Historic Square can now enjoy background music while they stroll about the beautiful downtown area. Designed to add ambiance and reinforce a pleasing atmosphere, the City of Noblesville recently purchased and installed a state-of-the-art Muzak system to play music year-round in downtown Noblesville. “It’s a wonderful enhancement to the whole experience of coming downtown” says local resident Lisa Norris.

The $20,000 computer programmable system has a 7-million song library that includes 70 separate music channels. The content is filtered for language and can be tailored for specific seasons and events. The Muzak system also contains a wireless public address capability for events and emergency announcements. The sound is delivered via dual speakers installed on 12 selected streetlight poles.

“The City of Noblesville is extremely proud of our downtown and excited about the introduction of music to the area,” states Mayor John Ditslear. “Our goal is to attract even more residents and visitors by enriching the overall downtown experience.” For additional information, contact Judi Johnson at (317) 776-6345 or jjohnson@noblesville.in.us.
