Open House/Art Auction to Benefit American Diabetes Association's Tour de Cure

A special one-night only event featuring art, live music, food and wine to benefit ADA's Tour de Cure is free and open to the public.

Online PR News – 02-December-2009 – – Art Source for Design announced today an Open House/Silent Art Auction on December 12th to benefit Tour de Cure, a cycling event held nationwide to benefit the American Diabetes Association. This event will provide not only an entertaining evening of art,live music, food and wine, but will offer collectors the opportunity to find extraordinary art at a range of affordable prices (beginning at just $20) and to support the mission of the ADA: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes.

This very special, one-night only event features an exciting array of artwork in a variety of mediums and prices by leading emerging and established artists. In addition to viewing and bidding on an eclectically curated mix of artwork, patrons are encouraged to groove to the beats of live entertainment by Carolyn Sills & Gerard Egan and enjoy delicious complimentary chef and wine tastings provided by some of the valley's finest local restaurants, including Asian-inspired vegetarian are by Fresh Mint and delicious cuisine and wine provided by Grapes Winebar.

This event provides a unique opportunity for both beginning and seasoned collectors to purchase some of the best art the Valley has to offer at prices well below retail value, as well as support the nation’s leading non-profit health organization providing diabetes research, information, and advocacy.

The Tour for the Arts Open House and Art Auction is a lively art and social event, giving both long-time art enthusiasts and newcomers to the art scene a fun, relaxed atmosphere in which to socialize and find affordable art. Acoustic duo Carolyn Sills & Gerard Egan will perform throughout the evening. Mentalist Jacob Spinney will appear at 7:30. Watch a live painting demonstration by local artist Marian Crane, whose completed painting will be auctioned live at the end of the event. Admission is free and open to the public. Viewing/cocktail hour will begin at 6:30. Silent and live auction will take place from 7:30-9pm.
