Online PR News – 21-April-2011 – – The studio is developing a PAC fundraising operation via its massively multiplayer online game EVE Online. The donations will be donated to the Red Cross to help the Haitians.
Players of EVE Online have until February 15 to do a good deed by buying Extensions Pilot License (or PLEX), a way to buy extra playing time using the currency of EVE Online, ISK. The transactions are then converted into dollars and paid in full to the Red Cross. Let us speak Hilmar Petursson, CEO of CCP:
This is a community that helps another. I urge you to use the ISK you hard-earned (or any other means among the many that you can get PLEX) to accomplish something greater than anything you could do on New Eden.
Players wishing to participate in the operation are invited to take a look at the official blog of EVE Online.
