“American Graffiti” was a great film of 1972 that begged various awards and started a new craze for car shows among people. To celebrate its huge success, Petaluma conducts a salute car show event every year where numerous classic cars of America are registered for the show.
Online PR News – 08-May-2009 – – “American Graffiti” a film by Lucas, reflects the days of his teenage years when he felt crazy about speed, stylish dressing and rock soundtracks. Most people assume that the film has been filmed in Modesto, California, but actually it was filmed in Petaluma, California. Lucas completed the film in hardly any time (28 days!!!) and with no extravagant expenditure. Initially Lucas faced some problems and established people from the industry did not show much interest in it. But, it was Lucas’ determination that made him go ahead and finally produce a wonderful film, which grabbed attention of everyone and begged four Academy Award nominations, including for the best film.
