Healthcare Staffing Leader Teams Up With Two Web-Based Companies to Host Second Annual T-shirt Design Contest in Celebration of National Nurses Week
Online PR News – 12-April-2011 – – Medical Solutions, a top travel nursing company, along with Fibers.com, an innovative custom clothing website, and Scrubadoo.com, an online healthcare apparel store have teamed up to launch “Nurses Rock!” the second annual Nurses Week T-Shirt design contest. The contest challenges contestants to design their own t-shirts focused on Nurses in celebration of National Nurses Week.
Contestants can submit as many designs as they like, using the extremely easy and user friendly design interface at Fibers.com or they can submit their own designs created by using any number of design programs. The contest will run on Fibers.com from April 12th and end on May 12th, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing and the last day of National Nurses Week, which officially begins on May 6th.
The winners will be chosen through a combination of an online voting system at Fibers.com and a panel of judges from all three companies. Voting is open through May 16th; registered users can vote for three entries. Designers are encouraged to share their entries through social networking sites they may belong to, in hopes to get the most votes.
“After watching the entries flood in from last year’s contest it was a no brainer to do it again this year,” said Craig Meier, Vice President of Sales and Client Development. “We love to give our Traveling Nurses and others a chance to express themselves, and what better way to do this than with a t-shirt contest! We’re thankful to have such wonderful partners in Fibers.com and Scrubadoo.com, without them there wouldn’t be a contest!”
All three companies are contributing to the prize packages and while the contest is open to everyone, Scrubadoo.com is offering each entrant a $10.00 gift card to use towards their next purchase of healthcare apparel to help encourage Nurses and other healthcare professionals to participate.
Brett Brohl, owner of scrubadoo.com said, “We here at scrubadoo.com respect the hard work and dedication of Nurses. Which is why we are excited to help be a part of a fun promotion like this during Nurses week. We hope to have a great turn-out and look forward to seeing the creativity flow!”
"At Fibers we are once again thrilled to help Medical Solutions and now Scrubadoo.com by offering our t-shirt design tool and contest platform that helps companies engage their current community and attract new fans,” said Jessica Markenson, Marketing Manager. The nursing community will again be able to create t-shirts in a fun and inventive way that reflects the love of their profession."
The Grand Prize for the contest is an Apple iPad 2, $100 gift card to scrubadoo.com and $100 gift card to Fibers.com, plus one shirt of the winning design. For more information and other prizes available, please visit http://www.Fibers.com/contests/nurses-week-2011
