Solidifies its internship program by entering into partnership with Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania
Online PR News – 21-March-2011 – Bedminster, NJ – Gnosis Arts, a leader in Internet PR and social media marketing, solidifies its internship program by entering into partnership with Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania. The internship is geared towards Public Relations, Communications and Marketing students and will give them hands on, applied learning in online marketing and Internet public relations.
"We’ve established an Affiliate Agreement with the Bloomsburg University Internship Department," said Barbara Bryant, chief operating officer. "This means Bloomsburg University students who take an internship with us will be eligible to receive college credit."
"Such an agreement benefits Gnosis Arts Media Group in a number of ways," said Bryant. "It allows us to develop a growing relationship with the university and its staff. It also prevents us from having to go from school to school, job board to job board, in search of interns. Bloomsburg supports our internship by posting it on their internship website."
Gnosis Arts interns will work on numerous Internet PR projects including social media e-book design, press release editing, story pitching and social media communications strategy. The agreement between Gnosis Arts and Bloomsburg helps to ensure students receive course credit and proper educational oversight.
"We found our first intern, not from college job boards, but from Craigslist," Bryant said. "We would rather locate candidates using authorized university channels. This partnership agreement will help us do that."
The firm recently hired the first of its interns at the beginning of March - Justin Arbadji, a senior public relations student at Bloomsburg. The internship program will be ongoing throughout the entire year. The firm plans to hire approximately 3 interns this year – 1 intern per semester.
