The Trinity House Hosts “The Fourth Annual Recognition Gala”

Organization assisting San Diego's homeless celebrates four-year anniversary

Online PR News – 16-November-2009 – – NATIONAL CITY, CALIFORNIA – The Trinity House, a grassroots not-for-profit organization which assists the homeless in the San Diego area, celebrates its fourth anniversary at its Annual Recognition Gala on Saturday, November 21 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Marriott Mission Valley Hotel, 8757 Rio San Diego Drive, San Diego, CA 92108.

This gala honors San Diego’s most outstanding supporters of the homeless such as R. Trent Braggs of Navy Federal Credit Union, Tayari Howard of Smooth Jazz 98.1 radio, Robert Moore of LPL Financial, and Bless It Assurance Ministries with Reverends Theola and Mitchell Campbell. The gala is also a fundraiser in which all proceeds support The Trinity House “Adopt a Family” program.

Evelyn Jackson, Executive Director of the Trinity House says: “‘Adopt a Family’ is one way to connect with a family in need. For as little as $1 per day, you can get a homeless child off the streets. And also, if you knew $5 could make a difference between a warm bed and a cold sidewalk for a homeless man, woman or child, wouldn’t you give?”

Founded by Glen and Evelyn Jackson, The Trinity House, Inc. welcomed its first occupants in 2005 as a “Good Samaritan” leap of faith. The Jackson’s philosophy is to give a “Hand Up” and not a “Hand Out.” The Jackson’s and members of the Board of Directors have much community experience working with underserved women, women with children, men, and men with children in San Diego County. The Jackson’s and the Board share the compassionate and committed goal to help disadvantaged individuals in the community.

The Trinity House, Inc. is a grassroots 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing transitional housing in San Diego to underserved individuals and families in need. It also coordinates successful re-integration of residents into the community by promoting positive transformation of their lives.
