SE2 is pleased to announce its newest associate, Delores Tronco.
Online PR News – 16-November-2009 – – DENVER—SE2, a Colorado-based mass communications firm focused on public policy, issues and social marketing, is pleased to announce its newest associate, Delores Tronco, a former 9Health Fair special events and communications coordinator and El Pomar Foundation fellow and program associate.
The hiring of Tronco brings SE2’s staff to a total of 11 fulltime employees, plus a number of long-term project partners. Over a dozen years, SE2 has maintained steady growth in both good times and tougher economic periods.
“We help corporations, nonprofits and public entities sell ideas, not products,” said SE2 Principal Susan Morrisey, whose expertise includes communicating about healthcare policy. “In any economy, there is a need to shape the public debate on the issues of the day. Delores will serve our growing client list with a solid understanding of the complex relationships between the public, private and nonprofit sectors and experience in media relations, public relations and nonprofit communications.”
SE2’s tagline – The Art of Public Persuasion – describes its unique focus on issues of public relevance. The firm brings a complete range of tools to that task, including all forms of advertising, public relations, grassroots strategies, and social media.
“Over the years, many of our clients came to us initially because they had a significant public challenge,” said SE2 Principal Eric Anderson, a former newspaper reporter. “Even in tough economic times, organizations in all sectors continue to experience those challenges.”
Tronco formerly promoted the 9Health Fair’s annual proactive health screening sites statewide. In that role, she honed her skills in marketing, advertising and graphic design across various media.
She began her career at the El Pomar Foundation in Colorado Springs, landing a highly competitive, two-year leadership and professional development fellowship. Fresh out of college, she provided support and direction for many of the foundation’s community stewardship and grant-making programs while gaining project management, nonprofit consulting and fundraising expertise.
The Greeley native graduated cum laude from the University of Northern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in English and minor in business administration.
Tronco’s creativity and team-based attitude are right at home in SE2’s distinctive offices at 770 Sherman St. in Denver. The firm remodeled and moved into the building earlier this year, adding fun touches like a vintage Ms. Pac-Man (Principal Eric Sondermann’s high score is 550,340 which would place him high in national rankings) and restroom doors designated with Barbie and Ken dolls.
'Megaphone Man,' SE2’s mascot, is featured on the front door and has left his mark throughout the space, with megaphones of various styles and sizes.
SE2 staffers share witty and relevant observations about public communications and media issues on their blog, The Megaphone, which is featured on the home page of the firm’s website, PublicPersuasion.com. Recent post 'SE2’s PR 101 Tips for Balloon Boy Family' – which offered much-needed advice to the family of Falcon Heene – was featured locally and nationally.
