Join The Symphonia and meet Palm Beach County's altruistic superwomen at ‘A [Virtual] Symphony of Voices: A Celebration of Women in Philanthropy.’ 6-8pm. Free.

Online PR News – 13-August-2020 – Boca Raton, FL – On August 26, 1920, the 19th Amendment was officially adopted, allowing women in the United States to vote for the first time.

One hundred years later, on August 26, 2020, The SYMPHONIA, South Florida’s world-class chamber orchestra, continues to celebrate women of outstanding achievement and will honor several of South Palm Beach County’s most influential women and organizations in philanthropy.

‘A [Virtual] Symphony of Voices: A Celebration of Women in Philanthropy’ will be broadcast on Zoom, beginning with a live, interactive cocktail hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Zoom Rooms specific to each organization/individual being honored. All guests will then join together for the main program at 7 p.m.

The virtual event will feature a special presentation about the 19th amendment by the League of Women Voters; profiles of each organization and honoree; and performances by several of the orchestra’s talented female musicians. The event is free (registration is required), though donations are welcome. Proceeds will benefit both the participating organization of the attendee’s choice and The Symphonia. For donations of $50 or more received by August 12, attendees will receive a special gift mailed to them prior to the celebration. (HINT: it’s a delicious cocktail mix kit, perfect for the Zoom Room Happy Hour!)

Honorees include Impact 100 Palm Beach County and its all-female membership; Cherie Benjoseph, Co-Founder, KidSafe Foundation; Nicolette Goldfarb, Board Member, Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County; Lisa McDulin, Director of Advancement, Place of Hope; Judi Schuman, Financial Resource Development Chair, Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County; Dr. Kathy Schilling, Boca Raton Regional Hospital Foundation; and Stephanie Tunis, Public Affairs Chair, Junior League of Boca Raton.

“Our honorees for ‘A Symphony of Voices’ are some of Palm Beach County’s most influential women in philanthropy – women who embody the same spirit as the suffragettes who fought for the vote 100 years ago--seeking to empower the powerless and give a voice to the voiceless,” said Annabel Russell, Executive Director, The Symphonia.
