Key West Dive Center Running Special 3-Tank Dives During Key West Powerboat Races

This November, Key West scuba divers will be able to take advantage of special 3-tank dives during the World Championship Powerboat Races on November 11, 13, and 15

Online PR News – 13-November-2009 – – Every year, Key West hosts the World Championship Powerboat Races. With the huge influx of visitors to the island and with the powerboat racecourse interfering with the usual flow of Key West tours and activities, Key West visitors will find that many of the typical Key West tours and activities, such as Key West scuba diving, change in structure and time.

This year, in order to accommodate the unusual Powerboat Races schedule, the Key West Dive Center is offering certified divers in Key West the chance to go on a rare 3-tank dive. Instead of one 2-tank morning dive and one 2-tank afternoon dive, the Key West Dive Center will be offering a special 3-tank dive in the middle of the day with a departure time of 11AM. This is a rare chance to experience three unique Key West diving trips for the price of the usual two tanks.

The special 3-tank dives will take place on Wednesday November 11th and Sunday November 15th. On Friday, November 13th, Key West diving trips offered by the Key West Dive Center will depart one hour earlier than their usually scheduled times. Key West snorkeling trips on these three days of powerboat races also have changed.

"It's an exciting time to be in Key West during the powerboat races," says Key West Dive Center office manager Leslie Young. "We gotta change things up a bit but it's just to keep with the flow and momentum of everything."

Aside from these three days, the Key West Dive Center offers Key West visitors with two Key West scuba diving trips: a morning wreck-and-reef trip (departing every day at 8:30AM) and an afternoon double-reef trip (departing daily at 1:00PM). Additionally, the center offers Key West snorkeling trips and Dive-in-a-Day courses for people who are not scuba certified but are interested in exploring the Key West coral reef system.

The center runs the website or you can call them directly at 866-563-1805.
