Lawrence Hamm stands by voters who are concerned as about fulfilling their right to vote under the severe social restrictions imposed by the threat of COVID-19.

Online PR News – 05-June-2020 – Newark, NJ – NEWARK, N.J.---“The right to vote is a sacred obligation and demand of citizens duty-bound under the U.S. Constitution, and it is the responsibility of the government to ensure that this right is protected and ensured.”

Lawrence Hamm stands by voters who are concerned as about fulfilling their right to vote under the severe social restrictions imposed by the threat of COVID-19. A leader in the fight for human rights over the past half-century, Mr. Hamm knows well the value of the right to vote in this democracy. “Voting is my right as a American, and it cannot be denied. I call upon New Jersey State Legislature and Governor Murphy to choose follow in Oregon’s footsteps, and not repeat the blunders of Wisconsin.”

Lawrence Hamm joins with other civic leaders in New Jersey and across the country, and the Postal Union of America in calling for the provision for citizens to vote by mail in elections during the COVID-19 public restrictions. According to Mark Dimondstein, President of the U.S. Postal Union, “…if people are going to have true access to the ballot box, we’re going to have to vote by mail. And that’s been really brought home in this tragic crisis.”
