Award Winning Project ASBAH joins AquaKraft’s SWACHHAGRAHA – A Movement for Clean, Green, Healthy & New INDIA on UN WORLD WATER DAY

Online PR News – 23-March-2020 – Mumbai, India – UN WORLD WATER DAY saw a unique partnership between the award winning Project ASBAH and AquaKraft’s SWACHHAGRAHA to provide Clean Drinking Water & Sanitation to one and all.

Project ASBAH, Every Drop, A Promise, is an endeavour to provide clean drinking water to urban slums and rural households which are plagued by the lack of accessibility or affordability for potable drinking water. Project ASBAH achieves its objective by setting up contaminant specific community water filtration plants. Technologies such as UV, UF, RO, nanofiltration, coagulation and flocculation are used for the purification of water in the target areas to achieve maximum efficiency. Water is dispensed through water ATM machines and is provided at an unimaginable rate of Rs. 4-6 for 20 litres, thereby creating tangible social and economic impact in the lives of the community members. 9 plants have been established by it till date in the states of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana and more than 24,000 lives are impacted daily through its endeavors. Asbah has also undertaken various IEC activities in the fields of menstrual hygiene, health, and education, thus making it a holistic WASH model.

Project ASBAH has been lauded by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, Former President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee and Chief Minister of Delhi, Shri Arvind Kejrival for its efforts in the water and sanitation sector. The aim of Project ASBAH is to turn this hope into reality in the lives of our community members. We are looking forward to carrying out our vision along with the able guidance and partnership of AquaKraft, to give a successful eco friendly dimension to our goal of providing for people who are mired with lack of rudimentary necessities, one of which is safe and potable water, through its GREEN technology.
